Plunksongs.com is the "source music" side of Steve Plunkett’s song catalog and publishing company. Primarily created for film and television licensing, Steve's songs have been utilized in hundreds of productions by all the majors including CBS, Paramount, ABC, The CW, NBC, UPN, MTV, VH1, USA, ABC Family, The WB, HBO, Fox, Showtime and others. Songs from the catalog have also appeared in over 65 films (see credits). The catalog is constantly evolving with new songs being added continuously. The vast majority are full songs with vocals that are also available (at no additional charge) as instrumentals. They are all designed to set a vibe immediately and get to the point quickly.

STEVE PLUNKETT:  
Biography
 
 
Steve Plunkett is a true music industry veteran with over 25 years in the business. As lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter for several bands, Wolfgang, John Doe, and Autograph were all heavily influenced by his writing. Steve wrote or co-wrote every Autograph song, including the gold-yielding hit "Turn up the Radio" and was instrumental in producing the group. After studying with legendary producers Eddie Kramer (Kiss) and Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin), Steve co-produced Autograph’s second album on RCA "That’s the Stuff” as well as produced 1997’s "Missing Pieces” and “Buzz” in 2003. Autograph sold 1.5 million records and had numerous videos on MTV. In 2009, “Turn Up The Radio” was chosen by VH1 as one of their “100 Greatest Rock Songs.” The song was also made available for the “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” games.
 
In excess of 200 songs of Steve’s have been released worldwide since 1985. Many of them were written for major motion pictures including "Gods and Monsters," "Fright Night," and "Rock Star," as well as prime time television shows such as "Melrose Place," "Beverly Hills 90210," “Charmed,” and "Sex and the City". 
 
Steve's catalog of releases also includes songs recorded by The Go-Go’s, James Ingram, Eartha Kitt, Crosby and Nash, Vixen and a distinguished list of other artists. His list of productions and collaborations has grown to include Graham Nash, Marc Anthony, Jon Secada, Loretta Lynn, Tweet and Cyndi Lauper. Steve's weighty involvement in music for television and motion pictures includes the composition and production of numerous original songs for ABC, NBC, CBS, WB, UPN, HBO, Showtime, MTV, VH1 and feature releases. He served as music coordinator, main songwriter and music producer for two seasons of HBO's Emmy winning series "Happily Ever After - Fairy Tales for Every Child". Other TV credits include the series Theme songs for Aaron Spelling's "7th Heaven," The WB’s “Summerland”, USA’s “Kojak”, CBS’s "That’s Life", ABC’s "10-8" and The Hallmark Channel’s “The Neverending Story”.  Steve also wrote the 1999 Dove Award "Song of the Year" nominated number one hit single “I Believe in Christ" with Christian artist Jonathan Pierce.
 
During his seven years as All Nations Music’s principal staff writer/producer, Steve produced eight albums and had over 70 songs released. Additionally, over 65 of his songs have been included in movies - gaining him a CableACE Award nomination for "Best Original Song". He served as music coordinator/associate music producer on the landmark CBS Miniseries "Shake, Rattle & Roll", for which he wrote seven original songs and worked with artists such as blink 182 and BB King. Following that, he handled the same role for MTV’s weekly series "Live Through This" - writing and co-producing ten original songs. Other projects include music coordination and four original songs for Britney Spears’ produced ABC Family movie “Brave New Girl”, and the end-title original song for Martin Scorcece’s Lion’s Gate movie "Frankenstein". In 2002 with collaborator Spencer Proffer, Steve became one of the architects and principles of Fender Records, a joint venture between Fender Musical Instruments and Rhino/Warner records to produce and release guitar themed CDs. In 2007 he was appointed General Manager of USA Network’s venture with Yahoo! Music (USAYahoo Music) to discover and utilize new talent in and around programming.
 
During 2006, 2007 and 2008 via his long relationship with Spelling Television, he composed, produced and licensed over 150 new songs for the “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Melrose Place” DVD releases by CBS/Paramount. Steve continues to build and actively license his “Plunksongs” catalog, as well as custom create and produce music for numerous productions and artists, including producing the 2009 debut CD for EMI’s “Flying Machines”.
